Inspired by the nature that surrounds us, earth tones always feel luxurious, cozy and enveloping. Easy to mix and match, they revitalize any outfit - while perfectly complementing the magnificent decor that Mother Nature offers us! Here’s everything you need to know about those deep hues.

BRICK RED

Red! That powerful and feminine colour, seductive and intimidating at the same time. The brick red tone prevails here because it is easier to wear than bright red. Why? Simply because bright red is among the colours that the eye perceives best whereas brick tone is a bit more inconspicuous and blends easier thanks to its brownish notes. PS: Don’t forget to upgrade your outfits with a touch of nail polish and lipstick! Which colours match well with brick red? Beige, navy and gray!

OCHRE

Yellow steals the limelight all summer long, but it’s his cousin, the ochre hue, that’s taking over in the fall. This rich, spicy colour is ideal for adding a touch of warmth to this cool season! Unlike canary yellow, ochre blends in with any hair colour! Which colours should you wear it with? Navy and burgundy are our favourite choices!

AMBER

We’ve seen this shade of brown with golden highlights everywhere, these past seasons. While the black and brown duo is not always the punchiest, we love the black and amber variant. Also try to combine this rich shade with electric blue or powder blue. You’ll have nice surprises!

KHAKI

Do you wear khaki other than with the military look? We love to wear it elegantly, replacing our feminine black essentials with its khaki version. Although this colour doesn’t mix with more bluish greens, the different shades of khaki blend very well together to create an original tone-on-tone look! Khaki is also sublime with black and all the palette of earthy tones that we love so much! From gray to burgundy, everything works! But remember that warmer hues will reveal more of its brilliance. Golden metallic hues also have the characteristic of lightening up khaki. Bring up the gold jewelry!

CHOCOLATE BROWN

While white is a fairly popular colour during summertime, we prefer a soberer tint in fall that blends in with the landscape. This year, we really dig chocolate brown! We love to wear this colour in a classic fashion, with red, black and white; a quartet that is reminiscent of the iconic hues of Burberry’s tartan!
