Many trends are re-emerging from the past and if many people are really happy about it, some are also a bit worried that they’ll look like they’re wearing a costume… Indeed, Elise remembers when pointed toe heels came up again in the early 2000s, during her studies. She associated them so much with kitsch outfits from the 80s that she couldn’t imagine wearing them. It was the first time she noticed the revival of a trend, but certainly not the last. Since fashion is cyclical, trends inevitably come back around. So here are some of the coolest trends that are back and how to give them a fresh modern spin!

During the 70s, no one could resist the charm of flared pants. You probably also remember that in the early 2000s, when Britney Spears was still a queen, flared trousers were also very popular. Well, if you were a fan, you’ll be happy because flares are back and we can say that skinnies finally face a credible pretender to the fashion throne!

However, if the queen of pop wore super low-rise pants, it's just the opposite today. The key to making flares look more actual? A high-waisted fit!

Really popular during the 80s, crop tops are back. At the time, the movie Flashdance made them a real hit. However, the ones we find today are on the slightly longer end of the crop top spectrum, so they don’t show your belly button. Simply pair them with high-waisted bottoms for a modern and distinguished look!

As you've probably noticed, orange and brown are everywhere recently. Adopt these retro shades with a seventy-inspired look or simply integrate them to your modern outfits!

Loose fit double-breasted jackets were very popular in the 80s and it’s time to reintroduce them to your outfits because they’re making a huge comeback! To give this trend a modern twist, simply wear your double-breasted jacket with slim fit pants and heels. Complete with a cute cami or a bodysuit!

When it comes to the 90s, we can’t ignore the iconic fashion brands that have taken over this decade! Fila, Champion, Kappa, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein... Our favourite brands of the 90s are reinventing themselves while keeping their original charm to offer us nostalgic creations!

Which of these throwback trends would you like to try?
