FASHION DILEMMA: TIGHT-FITTING OR LOOSE-FITTING CLOTHING?
Today, we tackle an eternal debate: Which is the most flattering?... Tight-fitting or loose-fitting clothing? What if the key was precisely not to choose? Indeed, we really like to mix both options!
For a long time, bodycon clothes were all the rage, and now, loose clothes tend to be trendier. However, our little pleasure is to create outfits that cleverly combine both. If you’re not used to playing with proportions, mixing different cuts may seem complicated, but the result is definitely worth it. It's a great way to create well-balanced looks!
WIDE TOP + FITTED BOTTOM
A loose top combined with a fitted bottom is a good option to balance A shape bodies. Indeed, the top will add volume upwards so that it’s more proportional to the lower body.
You can also opt for this combination if you want to highlight your legs and conceal your upper body. Tip: If that’s your situation, go for a dark top and wear a bright bottom to put the spotlight on your legs.
LOOSE SWEATER & FITTED SKIRT
By combining a tight skirt with a fitted top, you get a seductive look, but if instead, you go for a loose top, your look will be much more casual and versatile! Ideal to add a bit of volume to the upper body and refine the legs, especially if you wear heels. PS: Wear shoes and tights of the same colour to elongate your legs even more!
BOYFRIEND SHIRT & SKINNY JEANS
The boyfriend shirt is both sexy and casual, and that’s why we love it so much. With messy hair and skinny jeans, you’ll look completely irresistible!
WIDE JACKET & HIGH RISE PANTS
This cute and feminine look is perfect for the office. At MFMK, this outfit is so popular that we often dress alike without planning it!
FITTED TOP + WIDE BOTTOM
A fitted top with a loose bottom is a good option to balance a V-shape. The bottom will add volume to the buttocks and thighs to make them more proportional to the upper body.
You can also opt for this combination if you want to highlight your waist and your torso, while concealing the lower part of your body. Tip: If that’s your goal, choose a colourful top and a sober bottom to really highlight your upper body.
BODYSUIT & PAPERBAG PANTS
We’ve already expressed many times our love for bodysuits. Unlike regular tops, bodysuits have the added benefit of tucking in seamlessly to whatever bottoms you choose, giving you a more polished look. Since bodysuits are very tight, you can wear them with paperbag pants to balance your silhouette!
TIGHT TURTLENECK & PLEATED SKIRT
This voluminous skirt and this super tight turtleneck create a perfectly balanced look. The skirt slides on the hips to create harmonious curves while the top is more discreet, with its sleek and classic cut.
FITTED SHIRT & FLARED PANTS
These 70s inspired flared pants are super charming. Combine them with a fitted shirt and tuck it in. Elegant and comfy ... We like it!
We’ve already tested all these outfits to make your job easier!
